Talking about age

Cuantos años?

You would say "I'm twenty years old" in English, but when talking about age, it works a little bit differently in Spanish. Instead you would say "I have twenty years" or "Tengo veinte años".

So if you ask someone their age, you're asking how many years they have: ¿cuantos años tienes?
