Shopping & Money in Italian
In Italian it's very common to include the definite article when using a possessive. So you might say: è il mio libro. Another way to use it, is by saying 'un' instead of 'il'. For example: un mio amico (a friend of mine).
| English | Singular (m) |
|---|---|
| my | il mio libro |
| your | il tuo libro |
| his/her/its | il suo libro |
| our | il nostro libro |
| your (pl.) | il vostro libro |
| their | il loro libro |
Thankfully, the feminine counterpart looks very similar and just changes the -o ending to an -a.
| English | Singular (f) |
|---|---|
| my | il mia casa |
| your | il tua casa |
| his/her/its | il sua casa |
| our | il nostra casa |
| your (pl.) | il vostra casa |
| their | il loro casa |
